- Available in a Variety of Probe Lengths
The RFOT is the industry standard for meat processors.
This wireless meat temperature data logger provides users with real-time monitoring and is available with the following probe types:
• RFOT-FR: 45 mm fast response probe (for smaller meat products)
• RFOT-4-TD: 102 mm transitional diameter probe (for smaller meat products)
• RFOT-4: 102 mm probe
• RFOT-7: 177 mm probe
• RFOT-12: 304 mm probe
• RFOT-4-TD: 102 mm transitional diameter probe (for smaller meat products)
• RFOT-4: 102 mm probe
• RFOT-7: 177 mm probe
• RFOT-12: 304 mm probe
The RFOT is perfectly suited for smokehouses, ovens and other cooking processes up to 100 °C, as well as refrigerators and freezers down to -20 °C.
It is completely splash-resistant and can withstand wash down cycles.
The RFOT is compatible with the latest MadgeTech 4 Software making starting, stopping, and downloading simple and easy.
The software features user-programmable critical control points, called “cooling flags” to assist in compliance with USDA Appendix B. Graphical, tabular, and summary data is provided for analysis and can be viewed as customizable engineering units.
The RFOT is also MadgeTech Cloud Services ready, providing users the ability to monitor real-time data remotely on any internet enabled device, from anywhere in the world.
Note: RFC wireless interface required.

RFC1000 WRFC1000 WIRELESS RF RECEIVER AND REPEATER
Wireless transceiver for the RFOT, ThermAlert and RF2000A series.
Includes MadgeTech Software, Software Manual, Quick Start Guide, USB to mini USB adapter and RFC1000 wireless transceiver.
The RFC1000 transmits to other RFC1000s up to 1219 m outdoors/line of sight, 304 m typical indoors/urban.
The RFC1000 transmits to data loggers up to609 m outdoors/line of sight,152 m typical indoors/urban.
Additional RFC1000s can be used as repeaters to transmit greater distances.
The new design includes a higher powered transceiver and a substantially longer transmit range, meaning better performance in all environments.
The RFC1000 is designed to communicate between MadgeTech’s two-way wireless data loggers and the MadgeTech software and can connect to a maximum of 64 data loggers.
Through the use of the software and the RFC1000s, remote data loggers can be started, stopped and downloaded wirelessly.
This time saving feature streamlines processes for maximum efficiency.
The RFC1000 features a 17,78 cm. pivoting external antenna, which increases the transmission distance and provides greater signal strength.
The pivoting antenna also allows more flexibility with mounting positions in both orientation and proximity to metal walls. .
The RFC1000 can be used as a repeater or plugged directly into your PC.

• Warehouses
It is important to maintain the “cold chain” to ensure the product is kept at the proper
temperatures continuously throughout transport.
In order to protect the product,
temperature control is essential.
Meat must be maintained at an internal temperature of 4 °C or below before being
transported, and trucks should be pre-cooled for at least an hour before loading.
According
to the FSIS Transportation Security Guidelines, during pre-cooling the doors should be
closed and the temperature setting of the unit should be no higher than -3 °C.
The temperature and function of the refrigeration unit should be checked and recorded
every 4 hours.
“Monitor the temperature and function of the refrigeration unit at least every 4 hours. If
there is a unit malfunction, the problem should be corrected by an authorized refrigeration
mechanic before the temperature of the load rises.”
