HiTemp140-M12

High Temperature Data Logger with an M12 Probe Connector

The HiTemp140-M12 features the same rugged stainless steel body as the other HiTemp140 data loggers in the series, but offers interchangeable probe options using an M12 type connector.
The M12 connectivity makes this versatile data logger compatible with the large variety of M12 RTD probes available today.

The HiTemp140-M12 is capable of measuring and recording temperatures from -200 °C to +850 °C  (probe dependent).

All of MadgeTech’s HiTemp140  data loggers have a water tight body enclosure made of food grade  stainless steel and can be placed in environments with temperatures as  high as 140 °C. The operating range of the data logger body can  be extended to higher temperatures when used with MadgeTech’s thermal  barrier options and suitable probe.

HiTemp140-FP Flexible Probe Temperature Data Logger
High Temperature Data Logger with Flexible RTD Probe

The HiTemp140-FP is a durable, user friendly high temperature data logger featuring a long, flexible RTD probe with a narrow diameter, making it ideal for use in steam sterilization and lyophilization processes.

Commonly used for mapping, validation and monitoring of high temperature surfaces and environments, this stainless steel data logger is available in several flexible probe lengths. The flexible probe is coated with PFA insulation and can withstand temperatures up to 260 °C  with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C.

The HiTemp140-FP probe design is narrow and lightweight making it ideal for placement within small vials, tubing, test tube and other small diameter or delicate applications. Because of the flexible probe, the risks of breakage (both vial and probe) generally associated with stainless steel probe loggers are diminished and the location and placement of the probe is easy to manipulate. The device records and stores up to 32,700 time stamped readings and is equipped with non-volatile solid state memory.

The HiTemp140-FP can be configured for delayed start and is capable of reading rates as often as four readings per second, up to once every 24 hours.

Compatible with the latest MadgeTech Data Logger Software, starting, stopping, and downloading data is simple and reporting capabilities are abundant. The device connects to a PC with the IFC400 interface or the IFC406 docking station (sold separately). Downloaded data can be viewed in graphical, tabular, and summary data form in the MadgeTech software, and all data can be exported to Excel® for further analysis and calculations.

The MadgeTech Software provides powerful data analysis and reporting tools to aid in sterilization validation and compliance.

Simple, Easy-to-use, Windows-based Software
The MadgeTech 4 Data Logger Software is designed to streamline the   process of downloading data and reviewing it in a user-friendly, time   efficient manner. The software offers many customizable features and  options, including the  ability to change engineering units (dependent  upon specific data logger  models), conforming to the needs of the user.
All MadgeTech data loggers operate in a similar fashion and are  simple and easy to use. Each class of logger has a unique device type  and is automatically identified within the MadgeTech Software on the  host computer.
MadgeTech 4 Data Logger Software comes standard with any MadgeTech  Data  Logger and free updates are available to download from the  MadgeTech  website.
Technical Requirements

The MadgeTech Data Logger software requires an IBM or compatible PC with the following:
  • PC-compatible Pentium(R)-class system
  • Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 8* and Windows 10
  • Color SVGA monitor (1024 x 768 resolution)
  • 1GB RAM
  • At least 30MB free hard disk space (for installation)
  • Available 9 pin male serial (COM) port (for serial logger interface cable)
  • Available USB port (for USB logger interface cable)
It is important to maintain the “cold chain” to ensure the product is kept at the proper temperatures continuously throughout transport.
In order to protect the product, temperature control is essential.
Meat must be maintained at an internal temperature of 4 °C or below before being transported, and trucks should be pre-cooled for at least an hour before loading.
According to the FSIS Transportation Security Guidelines, during pre-cooling the doors should be closed and the temperature setting of the unit should be no higher than -3 °C.
The temperature and function of the refrigeration unit should be checked and recorded every 4 hours.
“Monitor the temperature and function of the refrigeration unit at least every 4 hours. If there is a unit malfunction, the problem should be corrected by an authorized refrigeration mechanic before the temperature of the load rises.”
